Every figure here comes from the numbers you enter and the method stated beside it: your own commitments, your own paid-in capital, your own distributions and residual value. This site publishes no benchmark return and no fund's performance. What your fund has returned to its investors is your figure, worked from your record, not ours.

Limited partner software is the record of the people who put money into the fund, kept from the fund's side: each investor, the commitment in their subscription agreement, the capital called from them and when, the distributions back to them, and what they were told each quarter. It is not the LP's own tool for choosing funds and it is not the administrator's ledger; it is the general partner's answer to the questions a limited partner asks, and the arithmetic behind each answer is small enough to run on this page.

One row per investor, with the commitment and an owner

Every investor in the fund has a commitment, a pro rata share of every call, and a person at the fund who answers for the relationship. The record starts with those three facts and everything else is filed against them.

Every call and every distribution against the investor, not just against the fund

The fund-level total is what the administrator closes. What the investor asks is what they were called for, what they have paid, and what has come back to them, which only a per-investor record answers without a reconciliation.

The quarter's figures computed for the fund and readable per investor

Paid-in, DPI, RVPI and TVPI are fund-level ratios, and each investor's share of them follows from their commitment. A record that holds both the fund's and the investor's view stops the two from disagreeing when the letter goes out.

Rapportvo Pro

Keeping the record behind the figure

The worksheets are free. Pro is what happens after the figure is right: the call becomes a notice on the investor's record, the quarter's figures become the report that went out, and next year you can still see what was called from whom, when, and what they were told.

  • Download the notice or the update as a file to send to the investor
  • Your notices and updates without our name on them
  • Save a call or a quarter's update and open it again next quarter
  • Your fund's name and mark on every notice and update
  • Every investor, call and distribution out as CSV in one go, for the administrator or the auditor
  • Send the capital call notice or the update from inside the record rather than by mail merge

What a GP asks before running the Limited partner software

Is this the same as an investor portal?

No. A portal is where an investor logs in to read what the administrator has closed. This is the fund's own record, kept by the person who issues the calls and writes the letter. It can feed a portal; it does not replace one for a fund that has one.

Can it hold prospective investors before they commit?

Yes. An investor the fund is still talking to is a row with no commitment yet, and a first close turns the row into a commitment without re-entering the person. The pipeline and the record are the same list at different stages.

Does it check whether an investor is eligible to be admitted?

It holds the eligibility your counsel confirmed as a status on the investor's row. It does not decide it. Whether an investor is accredited or a qualified purchaser, and what that means for the fund, is your fund counsel's answer.

Will it keep what your LPs ask for, beyond the Limited partner software?
